About

In 1982, COMPUTER EXPLORERS (CE) was founded on the premise that all children should have access to quality technology education. Today, CE is a turnkey franchise system that reaches more than 25,000 students per week at locations across the United States and internationally. Our 600 teachers prepare children for the future in nearly 2,000 schools.

COMPUTER EXPLORERS reaches students ages three to eighty-three! The company was created by educators who understood both the learning process and the needs of students and teachers.

COMPUTER EXPLORERS provides:
• technology tools
• software
• curriculum
• technology-certified teachers and staff
• continuous and up-to-date training
• real-life, hands-on education

Research has shown that using technology increases children’s skills and knowledge in other academic areas including math, science, reasoning, language arts, and critical thinking. Because the more people use information the better they will retain it, integration of a school’s core curriculum in project-based learning should enhance student performance.

Over the course of 20+ years, new elements have been added to the original technology education program. After school and summer camps for school-agers use the latest technology (robots, video-game design, alternative energy engineering, digital movie-making and editing). Staff development for teachers includes using application skills to create better teaching tools. Seniors who missed out on the “technology age” learn to navigate Ebay, use digital cameras and send email!

COMPUTER EXPLORERS offers a dynamic program that allows institutions of all financial means to provide quality technology education. Technology and computers are essential in our lives; both help to enhance knowledge, raise test scores, foster creativity and learning. The difficult task of implementing a system that truly works is no longer a problem. COMPUTER EXPLORERS has developed that system!

By integrating computers into our curriculum, we are able to reinforce the educational concepts we are teaching in the classroom and put practical technology skills to work. COMPUTER EXPLORERS has been instrumental in giving our students what they will need for the future.
