SACRAMENTO TECHNOLOGY EDUCATOR RECEIVES NATIONAL OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD

COMPUTER EXPLORERS (CE), an international company dedicated to children’s technology education, recently named Darcy Grieve of Sacramento, CA “Employee of the Month.”  Grieve, one of 600 CE instructors in the US, is a first year CE teacher for St. Mel’s Catholic School. Principal Janet Nagel describes Grieve as “top-rated teacher. Her skilled computer knowledge is portrayed by her enthusiasm for teaching, including showing the students different techniques in learning.”
“Darcy is an integral part of our educational technology program,” said Deb Evans, President and CEO of COMPUTER EXPLORERS. “She has included comprehensive information about the CE programs on the school’s web site and has partnered with the school to initiate and produce projects such as a school newspaper.”
Grieve recently joined COMPUTER EXPLORERS with the enthusiastic endorsement of both the St. Mel Principal, and Collette Howell, local COMPUTER EXPLORERS business owner. Grieve’s previous experience teaching in private and public schools and in public relations with a political consulting firm provides her the grounding and flair required to market and deliver CE’s school age and after school programs. “I couldn’t be happier with her,” said Howell. “She has made remarkable progress in a very short period of time assisting the school to prepare children to learn and earn in a global work force.  We look forward to contributing to the school’s implementation of a 21st century technology education strategy. I cannot imagine a more outstanding representative of COMPUTER EXPLORERS within our system!” concludes Howell.
