TECHNOLOGY TEACHERS RECEIVE ADVANCED CERTIFICATION
(Houston, Texas) - Technology teachers from Connecticut to California attended technology education certification training in July 2008, facilitated by COMPUTER EXPLORERS (CE) a leading global technology education franchise.
“Our goal for the training,” said Cyndee Perkins, Curriculum & Program Development Director, “is to be sure that students across America are learning how to use technology to excel in the classroom and eventually in the workforce by enhancing the skills of their instructors.”
Research shows the more people use information, the better they retain it. The CE teacher training focused on integrating technology into the core curriculum of a school. Instead of students learning to create a multi-media presentation as an isolated skill, they create presentations using content that they are studying in the classroom.
COMPUTER EXPLORERS offers a range of technology education programs to children, teens, and adults through pre-schools, childcare centers, public and private schools, and recreation centers worldwide. COMPUTER EXPLORERS K-12 programs reinforce the core curriculum of public and private schools and meet or exceed National Educational Technology Standards. In addition to learning application skills, students may experiment with robots, digital microscopes, and even design videogames.
“Technology education is a necessity in today’s world,” confirmed Perkins. “Our education partners appreciate COMPUTER EXPLORERS because we provide all the resources they need for an exciting, interactive program: Technology-certified teachers, curriculum, software, and hardware.”
