About

The key to great education is great teachers! COMPUTER EXPLORERS was founded BY educators, FOR educators to implement. Two teachers who realized the value of the computer as a teaching tool, founded the company in Great Falls, Virginia in 1982. The CE management team is composed primarily of educators who not only understand how children learn, but also the needs of the classroom teachers and students, and the importance of integrating technology into the core curriculum.

Karen Marshall, one of the two founders, continues to serve as an educational consultant for COMPUTER EXPLORERS staff – from CE management to hands-on teachers. More About Us

Teachers

COMPUTER EXPLORERS looks for instructors who have degrees in education, and we train them in how to use technology as a learning tool. They are essentially “resource teachers”—specialists who will teach technology in a variety of schools. The curriculum is based on a full scope and sequence of technology skills that meet and exceed the National Educational Technology Standards as written by the International Society of Technology Educators (ISTE). Careers

We hire part-time teachers who are not looking for full-time positions; some of our instructors have been with COMPUTER EXPLORERS for over fifteen years!  The combination of a flexible schedule and challenging curriculum, along with engaged students who “want to be there” in the classroom is a powerful incentive for teachers to stay with CE.
