COMPUTER EXPLORERS-185
Libby E. Willard - Owner/Director
I am writing to introduce myself as the new owner of Computer Explorers, Memphis. We appreciate your business and want to assure you of continuing first rate service and support. It is our desire to continue to enhance the educational experience of your students through technology.
My name is Libby Elizabeth Willard and I am the wife of Matt Willard. We left Jackson, TN for my husband to pursue a new job opportunity with the marketing department of Thomas & Betts in Memphis. We currently live in Olive Branch and are active members in the community of both Desoto and Shelby County.
I have an EC-4 degree in Early Childhood Education and Development from the University of North Texas. I am currently a certified teacher in Texas and Tennessee. I taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade in Texas and loved it. In Tennessee, I ran a Math Lab at Arlington Elementary in Jackson for almost three years. This is where I developed my love for technology in the classroom. Through this experience, I was given the opportunity to train others in the school system as additional labs were set up to mirror my classroom. I also had the opportunity to present at national magnet school and technology conferences on the subject of integrating technology into the classroom. In 2005, my husband and I decided to start our family. At the close of that school year we made the decision for me to stay home with our son while continuing my career through some part time consulting with schools and local businesses.
Since, moving to Memphis, my husband and I have been searching for a business opportunity here that would allow me to continue to work with technology, especially in the classroom. We felt Computer Explorers was a perfect fit for this. As you all know, technology can captivate children on new levels that teachers have never seen before. I am very confident that together, through Computer Explorers, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children all over Desoto and Shelby County.
Again, let me say how excited we are to work with you and your students in the upcoming months. Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting each and every one of you and we will strive to make this a smooth transition for all.
Sincerely,
Libby E. Willard
